§ Workspace

Portfolio.

Workspace-wide product tracker with budgets and health.

The portfolio is the workspace-wide product tracker. Where the Dashboard shows in-progress projects, the portfolio shows products — long-lived things you ship and continue to invest in. A product can be linked to a SpecGraph project (so progress flows in) or be tracked manually.

What a product row contains #

ColumnMeaning
NameThe product name
StatusLifecycle stage — concept, building, shipped, sunset
HealthAuto-derived from budget burn and feature activity
Spent / BudgetDollar figures; a thin bar shows consumption
FeaturesCount of features tracked under this product
Linked specThe SpecGraph project (if any) feeding this row

Expand a row to see the underlying feature list and add or edit features inline (each has a priority, effort estimate, and optional cost).

Filtering and grouping #

Three controls in the toolbar:

  • Filter by source — show only SpecGraph-originated, only manual, or all.
  • Group by — status, health, or no grouping (flat list).
  • Sort by — most recently updated, budget size, name, or risk level.

Settings stick per browser. Switching workspaces resets them.

Health colors #

Health is calculated from spent / budget plus recent feature activity. Five buckets:

  • Healthy — burn rate matches plan, features moving.
  • On-track — slightly behind on one of the two signals.
  • At-risk — significantly behind on either.
  • Over-budget — spent exceeds budget.
  • Stalled — no feature activity in the last 30 days.

The portfolio summary bar at the top shows totals and the dominant health color across the whole workspace.

When to use the portfolio vs the dashboard #

  • Dashboard — "what am I working on right now?"
  • Portfolio — "what's the shape of everything we're investing in?"

If you only ever ship one product through SpecGraph, you may never open this page. That's fine.
